As planned, work is underway on the lines fed by tank 1 (the Northernmost tank).
The Owen Baldwin / Bear Paw leg was filled and a leak discovered at the intersection of Cedar Way and Bear Paw. Excavation revealed that the Pressure Relief Valve was faulty and installed in the wrong line. Several days were required to correct the problem.
Currently pressure is being monitored in the Owen Baldwin leg ending at Doewood. There is a leak in that section, and once pressure stabilizes, we can make a rough determination of the elevation of the leak, giving the contractor a starting point for excavation.
Two leaks have been located and repaired on the Elk Park and Oak Way lines, and retesting has given us a rough location on a third leak.
Aqua Source Co. has been asked to update their bid to sanitize the lines when that time comes.
The contract has been let for pump #1 replacement and installation at the South end of Starkville. The target date for that installation is June 15.
Respectfully,
