We have a WINNER!!! Veteran tennis ace and coach, Fred (Spyder) Vaugeois receives the LAST MOUNTAIN DIVISION’S prestigious Winter Warrior Award for skiing Tuesday at Angel Fire for the very first time in his life!!! Fred successfully completed Mountain Warfare Training (Snow Pups I) and is ready to tackle Monarch next. Let’s take our stocking caps off to Fred for exhibiting such gallantry in the face of unknown forces and countless snow snakes. Kudos, my friend!!
And…after a 40 year layoff, Harriet (Peakaboo) Vaugeois hits the slopes with her trusty sidekick, MJ. Once past the preliminary jitters, she was off to a great start. In no time she was linking some mighty fine turns together on blue runs.

I guess once you become involved with THE BOARD, nothing is difficult.
All in all, we had a great day at Angel Fire. The snow was thin in spots but for man made snow, you couldn’t ask for better conditions. The crew at the resort has done a remarkable job keeping skiers happy and that we were!!!
