Dear SFTR Property Owner:

This notice is for the Annual Membership Meeting and to elect board members.  Please mark your calendars for the following events:

RC Ghormley is coordinating the Forest Health Education meeting, which will start in the Pioneer Room with a short presentation and educational display.  A lunch break will follow, with your choice of the cafeteria in the Student Center serving a brunch, or your favorite restaurant in Trinidad.  The afternoon’s activity is a driving tour of a few selected properties on SFTR in various stages of mitigation.  The event will conclude by late afternoon.  This is an opportunity to learn more about improving forest health and mitigating the wildfire hazard on SFTR and allow for the renewal of the "Fire Wise Community" status.

The SFTR Women’s Group will have merchandise and logo wear available for sale at the Pioneer Room.

The Student Center is located on Prospect Street south of Pine Street on the Trinidad State Junior College Campus in Trinidad, CO.  If you are driving into Trinidad from either the north or the south, take I-25 Exit 13-B (Main Street).  Go east on Main Street to the four-way stop.  Turn left onto Nevada Avenue.  Go north 0.4 miles to the stop sign at Pine Street.  Turn left onto Pine Street and go east 0.1 mile until you reach Prospect Street.  There is a sign at the intersection direction traffic to "TSJC Administration & Parking."  Turn left onto Prospect Street which dead ends into the Student Center parking lot.

Please be sure to cast your vote by returning the attached Official Absentee Ballot, postmarked by October 1, 2009, if you don’t plan to attend the Annual Membership Meeting.
