The Emergency Services Committee assisted with communications during the blizzards of 2006 and 2007. While most residents were prepared for the emergency, some residents ran out of prescribed medications.
The Committee also assisted in updating the main data base of ranch residents. This was important to the Community Wildfire Protection Plan as well as updating addresses and phone numbers of residents.
The Emergency Services Handbook was once again revised this year. The revisions during the last two years focused mainly on encouraging residents to be responsible for their own safety and welfare during time of emergency. While the Emergency Services Committee will do all they can to facilitate communication and help when they can, the Committee can not ensure everyone's safety.
Members of the Emergency Services Committee with help from several Ranch volunteers painted the guard shack at the main entrance. The Committee did all the prep work on the guard shack, it was spray painted by Bob Scott, and trimmed by Dennis and Nancy Scott.
Members of the Committee spent a considerable amount of time preparing information packets for Ranch residents. These packets contain information about the Emergency Services Committee as well as other information valuable to current as well as future residents.
Respectfully Submitted,
Robert G. Dye
Chairman, Emergency Services Committee
